Dental implants are a safe, comfortable and very effective replacement for missing teeth. They look and feel like your natural teeth, and can last in excess of 20 years.
Nowadays you don’t have to put up with missing teeth, which ruin the aesthetic nature of your smile and make day-to-day function like eating certain foods difficult. .
They’re a great alternative to dentures, as the implant will effectively be like your own teeth.

What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are an artificial tooth that is fixed directly to the bone of the jaw. An implant can be an ideal way to replace a missing tooth, because unlike bridges or dentures, an implant replaces the entire tooth without relying on neighbouring teeth to hold it in place.
An implant can be cleaned and flossed and treated just like a natural tooth. Since it is the same size as a natural tooth, it can feel very natural, and most people find that they adjust to having an implant tooth very easily.
Dental Implant Procedure
Dental implants do require surgery. During the procedure, an implant is surgically inserted into your jawbone, which will be the anchor for a replacement tooth. Over time the jawbone will attach itself to the implant, enabling replacement teeth to be permanently fastened into place.
Crowns, a bridge, or stabilised denture may then be attached to the implant. Since these must be carefully constructed to match the opposing tooth and ensure a correct bite, several impressions of the teeth are taken and sent to a lab which will construct the prosthetics.
